Why Discover Scuba Diving?

When you participate in a Discover Scuba Diving Experience (DSD/Resort Course), you discover excitement and adventure - freedom and serenity. Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling!

What do I need to start?

• Minimum age: 10 years old.
• A completed Discover Scuba Diving brochure (we supply you with this).
• Need to be medically fit to dive. Please read this page to check your fitness to dive.

What will I be doing?

With your PADI Instructor, you will participate in a short briefing to introduce you to the equipment and procedures. After the briefing you will go through some practical Scuba Skills in water which you can stand up in. Once you are comfortable with the skills, you and your Instructor will go on a real dive in the sea over one of St. Lucia's beautiful coral reefs. Your maximum depth will be 40ft/12M.

Where can I go from here?

As soon as you Discover Scuba Diving, you're on your way to an internationally recognized certification. That's because you may learn skills used in the PADI Open Water Diver course during your Discover Scuba Diving adventure. If you and your instructor elect to practice these skills, they may be credited toward the PADI Scuba Diver or PADI Open Water Diver entry level diver certifications. We also give you a discount if you want to upgrade your Discover Scuba Diving Experience to either PADI Scuba Diver or PADI Open Water Diver.
