Getting PADI certified
Earning your entry level diver certification is easy and fun. The information below will help you to decide which course is best for you. You might also find the PADI courses and experiences flowchart helpful too. Please check that you are medically fit to dive before leaving home. Junior level certifications upgrade automatically to adult certifications at the 15th birthday and you can obtain an adult certification card from PADI without the need to complete any additional training.
PADI Open Water/Jnr. Open Water Diver Course
The PADI Open Water Diver certification is an entry level "licence to dive" which is recognised by the diving community worldwide. It teaches you to independently plan and conduct dives with another certified diver, to a maximum depth of 60ft/18M (40ft/12M age 10 -11). It can be earned in 2 - 3 part days (excluding self study). The minimum age is 15 yrs but for children aged 10 - 14 yrs there is the Junior Open Water Diver Course.

Referrals - PADI Open Water/Jnr. Open Water Diver Course
If you have started your course elsewhere within the last 12 months, you can complete your certification with us. Usually, you would already have completed your self study and five confined water (pool) dives leaving just the four Open Water (Ocean) dives to do, however, other referral options are available. Please email us with your requirements.

PADI Scuba Diver/Jnr. Scuba Diver Course
The PADI Scuba Diver Course is a pre-entry level certification enabling you to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI professional to a maximum depth of 40ft/12M. This can be earned in as little as 1 day (excluding self study), and is great for divers who will only wish to dive under supervision, for instance whilst on vacation. The minimum age is 15 yrs but for children aged 10 - 14 yrs there is the Junior Scuba Diver Course.

Technically, you are already a certified diver if you have a Scuba Diver Certification, however, it seemed like a good place to put the information! The PADI Scuba Diver/Junior Scuba Diver certification can be upgraded to PADI Open Water Diver/Junior Open Water Diver by completing the additional certification requirements. This can be completed in 1 day (excluding self study).
